I don't think I'll ever stop saying that John Green is absolutely my favorite author.
Because he is. Duh.
I found John Green's books my senior year, and had to get An Abundance of Katherines through inter-library loan. It was my first Green book, but it was worth the wait (and the rush to the library to pick it up before they closed that Friday). I dove headfirst into the book while Dan and I were at dinner that night, and while it's not my favorite book of his, I absolutely still love it. After reading it, I did what I could to read the rest of his books. I bought Paper Towns, and read that second. It's an amusing coincidence, seeing as it's my second favorite book of his.
My favorite, though, I read last. It was like the Fates saved it for me.
Looking for Alaska.
The magical book that had me reading it whenever I could, even sitting in the car with Dan for a few minutes after we got home one day, my mouth hanging open as I read, and then I burst out laughing in total shock.
It was a good time, and I finally just got my own copy of it for Christmas from Dan.
And, of course, leave it to me to fall in love with a book that is, apparently, hardcore porn. (I wish you could see the face I made when I first found out about that.)
But I don't just love him as an author. I also love him as a YouTuber! I've posted his videos more than once on here, because I love them and they make me laugh (and so does his brother, Hank). He has the perfectly nerdy sense of humor.
Besides, who wouldn't love a person with a fascination for conjoined twins?
