One of my favorite things about England was going to have tea at one of the cafes in the city. Even by myself, it didn't feel lonely, but comfortable. The one time I went by myself, I actually forgot to bring a book, but it was still enjoyable just sitting with my pot of tea waiting for my sandwich to arrive. There's something soothing about tea.

There's also something adorably posh about drinking tea. You can pretend to be an incredibly sophisticated debutante as you drink it. Or, if you're me, you can just hang curl up wherever you are to enjoy a cup. Though I'll be honest, I did get a little dressed up when I went by myself. Hence the lipstick on the cup.
The first kind of tea I had that I can remember was spiced vanilla chai in eighth grade. I spent a school night at my friend Sophia's house, and she made me a cup for the walk to school that morning. I've had some other kinds since then, but I think it'll always be my favorite, with its light shade and deliciously creamy flavor.
Do you like tea? What's your favorite kind?

Cute kettle! I love tea, especially Irish breakfast tea, which just TASTES cozy to me!
ReplyDeleteYour tea kettle is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI love tea :D Mint is my absolute favorite, but a good Earl Grey is always nice. There's a specialty tea shop down the street that carries tons of kinds I'm dying to try (like those ones that bloom in the water? So cool looking!)
MMMmmm. I've been enjoying iced tea lately, but I drink tea every night during winter!
ReplyDeleteTea is the BEST. I love it way too much. That's an adorable tea kettle, by the way. I need on of those.
ReplyDeleteThat's so beautiful! I just bought a cute white porcelain tea kettle for boiling water since my husband and I aren't going to have a microwave when we move, and I'm very excited to try it out.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite teas are English Breakfast and Rooibos Vanilla. Although standard PG Tips also do fine :P I love kettles that have a home on a stove; I love our camping kettle... it whistles when it's boiled! :D

I loooove tea, but I'm just a plain simple Tetley tea girl (or english breakfast I believe is the posh name for it...) I go that many tea houses I really should start trying different types.
ReplyDeleteThe one thing I love about living in England is the tea. Can't go a day without it.
ReplyDeleteHow cute is your teapot. I'm getting one when I eventually move out. I can't wait.
