As today went on I started to feel negative. So I made cookies! They're quite delicious and would probably be pretty fantastic with a glass of milk.
It was weird; when I started, I was really pumped about making cookies, especially peanut butter ones. Then as I started putting them on the baking sheet and into the oven I felt like they were boring and bad, which I've clearly been proven wrong about. The same thing happened last night when I made a veggie casserole for dinner. I was excited to cook (with Dan's help, no less! he grated the cheese) and then when I took it out of the oven I just felt like it wasn't going to be any good. Except it was! It was quite delicious actually.
I still feel kind of unhappy for some reason, but at least now I have cookies, right?

What do you like to do when you're feeling down?
P.S., They (and the casserole) aren't from yesterday's cookbook. I don't think I'll make anything from that for a few weeks at the soonest.

Very nice! Combined a few of my favorite things:) I've never made peanut butter cookies, even though I love sweets with peanut butter. Thanks for the recipe!
ReplyDeleteI like to cook a comforting Japanese bowl of noodle soup, watch a movie (either a feel good one or a a depressing one) or buy myself something nice.
Hope you'll feel happier soon!
