Winter is such an excellent time for cooking - not too hot to bake with the oven on, always good for enjoying hot comfort foods, like soups, pies, and drinks.Since it's such a time for cooking, I've been dying to spend as much time in the kitchen as possible. Being completely knocked out by a cold recently, I haven't been able to do that. I have, however, had plenty of time to collect a selection of recipes I would love to make while on winter break and on the weekends after classes start back up. Instead of hoarding these recipes for myself, I am, of course, sharing them with you!
Drinks
- Grown-Up Hot Chocolate! *giggles* (shown above)
- Sore Throat Ease (to go right along with all my sickness survival tips!)
- Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate
Foods
- Chili in Bread Bowls (and you can certainly make just the bowls, and then put a soup in them if you prefer)
- Classic Mac & Cheese
- Homemade Oatmeal 9 Ways (shown above)
- Baked Potato Casserole
- Spinach & Artichoke Dip, Chicken Pot Pie, and Pecan Pie
What foods & drinks do you enjoy most in wintertime?
